Ever since I wrote GodLight, many of my Christian friends, most of whom are Roman Catholics, have asked me if GodLight conflicts with my Christian beliefs. I always reply, “Absolutely not”.  Often I add, “GodLight has helped me resolve some of the beliefs and even mysteries of Christianity”

As a Christian, I recite the Catholic Credo every day.  This is the Christian Perspective:

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son, Our Lord, eternally begotten of the Father”

God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God; begotten not made, one in being with the Father.

Through Him, all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation, He came down from Heaven.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary and became man.

For our sake, he was crucified under Pontus Pilate.  He suffered, died, and was buried.

On the third day, He rose again, in fulfillment of the Scriptures.  He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son

With the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified.  He has spoken through the prophets

We believe in one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church.  We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.  Amen.

This is the GodLight Perspective:

“We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen.”

From “GodLight”, God is Light.  The Light of the universe, the Light of the world, the essence that made the universe, that created the world.  GodLight is everything in the universe, Heaven (the galaxies, the suns, the planets) and earth (our wonderful planet).  While we can’t see everything from our planet or our earthly satellites, GodLight created everything, both seen and unseen.

“We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son, Our Lord, eternally begotten of the Father.”

Jesus Christ was a man made from GodLight.  He was made by the Father, as we all have been.  But Jesus was very special, he was born a man like all of us but had a very unique relationship with God.  Jesus Christ realized that he was the Son of God and said so.  Because he knew that he was the direct Son of God, he professed that He was God.  He, like the Father and the Holy Spirit, will live forever.

“God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God; begotten not made, one in being with the Father.”

This is the most powerful, concise and clear connection between Jesus Christ and GodLight.  God from God, Light from Light, Jesus Christ from Light, one with the Light.

“Through Him, all things were made.”

Through God, all things in the universe, on earth, seen and unseen come from God and the Light.  As the people of the earth, we come from GodLight and everything in the universe was made from GodLight.

“For us men and for our salvation, He came down from Heaven.”

Jesus, Son of the Father, Light of the World comes from the Father, the Light of Everything, came for us men and women and our salvation.  He came to save us by teaching us how to live in Light.

“By the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary and became man.”

The Holy Spirit, like everything that is created by God and is God through the Light, is a part of the unique Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  It is the Light of Each and All that makes the Trinity so understandable.  While a deeper mystery, the mystery of Each and All as a Trinity is Light.

“For our sake, he was crucified under Pontus Pilate.  He suffered, died, and was buried.”

While Jesus came from the Light and was the Light, he was born as a human.  Like all humans, he was not immortal  as a man, but was as God.

“On the third day, He rose again, in fulfillment of the Scriptures.  He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end”

Jesus is God, He is the Light.  He is with the Father and the Holy Spirit in Heaven, but as part of the Trinity, He is the Light and His Kingdom will have no end.

“We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son”

As part of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is God, is Light.  Like the Father and Son, He is the Giver of Life.  He gives life through his Light and enLightens us.

“With the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified.  He has spoken through the prophets”

As Light and One who enlightens the world, the Holy Spirit has spoken through Jesus Christ, before Jesu Christ through the prophets, and after Jesus Christ to all people through Light.

“We believe in one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church.  We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.”

As Roman Catholics, believing in the Credo, we acknowledge our Church, founded by Jesus, the Light of the world.  As believers in Jesus Christ, we believe that His Light came to save the world, and through His Light, our sins will be forgiven by our baptism through his Light.

“We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.  Amen.

From GodLight, SpaceTime is throughout the universe.  Everything that has ever happened and will ever happen is in SpaceTime.  Our lives, those that have gone before us and those that will follow are in SpaceTime.  Possibly, the resurrection of the dead is a manifestation of SpaceTime at the end of the universe and the world.  The life of the world to come, hopefully is Heaven where we are with God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the eternal Light.
